Sub Agent / Project Engineer – Ground Engineering
Working for a growing SME, with recent investment, the business will be doubling in size in the next 3 years.
Location: Flexible (Able to travel to sites across Midlands / Home Counties / Southern region)
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 basic + Car + Package
Role Description:
Join a growing Infrastructure SME as we expand our Ground Engineering team across the UK. We are looking for a hands-on leader to take ownership of diverse projects from rail and highways to environmental schemes. Ranging in value from £100k to £5m, delivering excellence from inception to completion.
You’ll tackle complex challenges including void filling, soil stabilisation, and land slippage on behalf of Tier 1 contractors and major clients.
The Role:
This is a site-based position focused on high-quality delivery and stakeholder management. While you'll have full support from our Technical and Commercial teams, you will lead day-to-day operations, including:
This role is site based and needs someone flexible to travel and lodge away 4-5 days a week. Full lodging and food costs are covered, however these projects could be anywhere in the UK, lasting from 1 week to 3 months on site.

- Safety Leadership: Maintaining rigorous H&S standards across every site.
- Documentation: Drafting and implementing RAMS for your work sections.
- Quality & Technical: Overseeing quality control and resolving on-site technical issues.
- Communication: Managing Early Warning Notices and providing detailed reporting for internal and external stakeholders.

Job Requirement
Required Experience:
You need to be living and eligible to work in the UK to be suitable for this position

- HNC / HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical subject.
- Site experience on Ground Engineering projects.
- Full driving licence
