The Resolute Group are currently working in partnership with an established international engineering and design consultancy who are continuing to expand their Data Centre and Mission Critical team in Germany. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a strong multidisciplinary and consultancy background to take responsibility for the successful delivery of complex data centre projects.
You will work closely with major international clients, leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating the technical, commercial and project delivery requirements across greenfield and brownfield developments.

Location: Frankfurt (hybrid working)

Salary: €80,000 - €120,000 basic + package

Job Description

As Senior Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for managing complex data centre and mission-critical projects from project initiation through to delivery. You will act as a senior client representative, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and in line with programme and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading medium to large-scale data centre and mission-critical projects across the full project lifecycle.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, architectural and specialist engineering disciplines.
  • Establishing project objectives, delivery strategies, scopes, programmes and key milestones in collaboration with clients.
  • Coordinating stakeholder requirements and translating client objectives into clear project briefs and delivery plans.
  • Managing project planning, cost control, project administration, procurement and contract-related activities.
  • Monitoring project performance against programme, budget, scope and quality requirements.
  • Identifying project risks, dependencies and potential issues at an early stage and developing appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinating internal resources, external consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
  • Leading project meetings, design reviews, workshops and senior stakeholder discussions.
  • Reviewing technical and commercial information to support informed client decision-making.
  • Supporting the development of business cases, options appraisals and value engineering strategies.
  • Managing projects with demanding programmes and short lead times while maintaining delivery quality.
  • Ensuring effective communication between the client, design team, contractors and wider project stakeholders.
  • Supporting contract management and the commercial administration of projects.
  • Ensuring appropriate project governance, reporting and project controls are maintained throughout delivery.
  • Promoting high standards of health, safety, sustainability and technical quality across projects.
  • Supporting the development and mentoring of project managers and wider project teams.
  • Contributing to the continued growth of the Data Centre and Mission Critical business in Germany.
  • Supporting business development, client relationship management and the identification of future project opportunities.

Job Requirement

Requirements:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience managing multidisciplinary design, engineering or construction projects.
  • Proven experience managing medium to large-scale projects with multiple technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Previous experience within data centres, mission-critical facilities, industrial, infrastructure or other technically complex sectors.
  • Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design and engineering processes.
  • Experience managing project programmes, budgets, risks, resources and commercial requirements.
  • Strong client-facing experience with the ability to operate confidently at senior stakeholder and director level.
  • Experience working within an engineering consultancy, design organisation or comparable project environment would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of project controls, reporting and governance.
  • Experience using modern digital project delivery and collaboration platforms, including BIM/CDE environments.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify project and business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within international and culturally diverse project teams.
  • Fluent German and strong English.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional short-, medium- and longer-term travel depending on project requirements.

Fluent German at B2 level or above is essential for this position, alongside strong English communication skills. Candidates without the required German language capability will unfortunately not be considered.
