Procurement Manager
An amazing opportunity to move in to the Energy and Power sector.
Basic: £75,000 + Car or Allowance + Bonus
Based: Glasgow
Hybrid working:- 2/3 days in the office / 2/3 days working from home
Working on some of the largest Energy and Power projects in Scotland for the next 10 years. The perfect chance to transfer from another Tier 1 Contractor in the Infrastructure or Construction sector into the Power and Energy sector.
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Procurement Manager to join our team on the Power frameworks, supporting the delivery of a range of exciting power transmission schemes. Delivering £3 billion of projects over the next 5 years, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone keen to further develop their skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility within a major infrastructure framework.
Role Responsibilities• Manage end-to-end subcontract and materials procurement processes, ensuring best practice, best value, and alignment with programme requirements.• Lead procurement activities including EOI, PQQ, ITT, contractor scoring, and contract awards.• Manage, develop, and segment the supply chain database to build robust subcontractor packages.• Own and update procurement schedules, reporting accurately on buying gains and losses.• Support work-winning efforts through tender inputs, procurement strategies, supplier selection, and relevant meetings.• Collaborate with delivery teams to manage supply chain performance while promoting safety, sustainability, and ethical practices.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Senior Buyer or Procurement Manager within the civil engineering or infrastructure sector (e.g., Rail, Highways, Water, Environmental/Coastal/Flood Defence).
- Solid understanding of subcontract terms and contract negotiation.
- Ideally a member of CIPS (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Excellent relationship management skills with a focus on building safe, sustainable, and innovative supply chain partnerships.
