Amazing opportunity to work for a Tier 1 contractor, focused in the Energy sector, with a 10 year framework of projects to be delivered.
  • Location: Inverness
  • Hybrid role: 3 days in the office or on site, 2 days from home.
  • Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 basic + Car + Bonus

The Resolute Group has been retained and partnering with a Tier 1 contractor who has been award Frameworks with SSEN and Scottish Power to deliver major £100m - £1bn schemes across Scotland.

This role supports major capital delivery schemes as the point of contact for Environmental issues from permits, restrictions and Environmental plans. Working with the client to ensure the correct governance is being adhered to and to take control of the Environmental issues from the ECI phase through to completion. Managing the various specialist consultancies who will be undertaking Hydrology studies, ground investigations, archaeology, Access, Pollution, contamination, Waste disposal, Endangered species to name a few areas.

Working alongside Project managers, Site agents, and Engineering teams, you will ensure environmental compliance, planning conditions, and sustainability controls are integrated into daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide practical, real-time environmental advice to site teams, balancing statutory requirements with programme delivery.
  • Monitor live construction activities to ensure adherence to the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and project consent conditions.
  • Liaise with client representatives, statutory bodies, and environmental regulators including SEPA.
  • Conduct regular site environmental inspections, audits, and compliance reporting across active worksites.
  • Track environmental risks, constraints, and KPIs using data tools and site reporting systems to prevent project delays.

Job Requirement

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Relevant qualification in an Environmental discipline, civil engineering, or equivalent practical experience focused on Environmental issues.
  • Proven track record in an Environmental specific role.
