Civil Engineer – Hydraulic Structures / Water Engineering

Location: Munich, Germany


Salary: €60,000 - €75,000 + Benefits (DOE)


The Opportunity

An established international engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer to join its specialist Water Engineering team. Working on major infrastructure and environmental projects, you will be involved in the design and delivery of hydraulic structures from concept through to construction.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver projects within the field of hydraulic and water engineering.
  • Work across all project phases in accordance with the German HOAI framework.
  • Prepare feasibility studies, technical reports and engineering concepts.
  • Develop BIM models using Autodesk Revit and support model-based project delivery.
  • Coordinate with clients, authorities and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Produce high-quality engineering documentation and technical drawings.
  • Support the delivery of flood protection, dam, reservoir, weir and river engineering projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to programme, budget and quality standards.

Job Requirement

Requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's).
  • Experience within hydraulic engineering, structural water engineering or civil infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of BIM workflows and Autodesk Revit.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent German (written and spoken) is essential.
  • English language skills are advantageous.
