An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Director (Mechanical) to join a leading international engineering consultancy, supporting the design and delivery of some of Europe's most technically complex Data Centre projects.
Location: Frankfurt, Germany
Salary: €105,000 – €115,000 (dependent on experience)

The Opportunity:
We are seeking an accomplished Associate Director to lead the mechanical design and delivery of major Data Centre projects from the Frankfurt office.
This is a senior leadership position, responsible for overseeing multidisciplinary project teams, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex mission critical facilities. The successful candidate will play a key role in business growth, technical excellence, and mentoring the next generation of engineering professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the mechanical design and delivery of large-scale Data Centre and Mission Critical projects.
- Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout all stages of project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and key project stakeholders.
- Provide technical leadership, ensuring designs meet the highest standards of quality, innovation, and efficiency.
- Oversee project programmes, budgets, commercial performance, and resource planning.
- Mentor and develop Mechanical Engineers across the team, promoting technical excellence and career development.
- Support business development activities, client engagement, and the continued growth of the Mechanical Engineering division.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practice throughout project delivery.

- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Significant experience delivering Mechanical Building Services projects within a consultancy environment.
- Essential: Proven experience delivering Data Centre or Mission Critical projects.
- Previous experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing client relationships.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience overseeing project budgets and programme delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English is essential; German language skills would be highly advantageous.
